The application Kythera Offline Hiking Map is a pure offlinedigital field guide for Kythera Island. The application is part ofOffline Mapping Project of the Nakas Road Cartography, a companymember of Nakas Group. The Offline Mapping Project is theimplementation of the Co-Creative team’s Vision to develop acomprehensive set of autonomous digital field guides in accordancewith the requirements of its user community. The app contains highresolution digital maps with five zoom levels (1: 250.000 – 1:15,000), compressed to 35.6 ΜΒ. Also, contains a detaileddescription of 8 trails of Kythera Island and compassfunctionality. When the user is in the field, the applicationprovides the user with contextual information with instructions,based on criteria of location (device GPS) and its direction.Moreover, the application informs the user about the destination’sdistance and the estimated time of arrival.

The application Samos Hiking Map is a pure offline digitalfieldguide for Karpthos Island. The application is part ofOfflineMapping Project of the Nakas Road Cartography, a companymember ofNakas Group. The Offline Mapping Project is theimplementation ofthe Co-Creative team’s Vision to develop acomprehensive set ofautonomous digital field guides in accordancewith the requirementsof its user community.
